Claude Harriott DE Pittsburgh
Claude has very good size and strength for his position. He does a nice job at
the point of attack. He uses his hands well and has a great burst off the line of
scrimmage. He uses different pass rush moves to set up the OT and get to the
QB. He dominates the player in front of him and affects the game plan of the
opposing coaches. He shows leadership abilities. He has the athleticism to be
an impact player.
Needs to Improve
If anyone reading this profile right now saw Claude this year, then you know
for a fact that what I just wrote was true LAST YEAR, but not even close to
Claude's performance this year.
Come out, come out wherever you are. I saw this kid last year and you talk
about being excited! This year, he is exactly the opposite. Claude does not
even look like the same player physically. He looks thinner than last year and
he is nowhere near as strong as he was.
So, what the heck happened? There is only one thing that could do
something like this and that is Kryptonite. It's the only answer! How does a
kid go from being considered one year as a possible top ten pick to a ‘he's
lucky he gets picked at all’ rating? I do not know of any injuries or personal
problems, so what could have happened? It must be Kryptonite! That's the only
answer! Claude's stats his junior year were- 78 tackles, 21 tackles for loss,
10 sacks. Claude’s stats his senior year- 38 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 2
sacks. No report of any injuries or personal problems. Believe me when I say
that I could not be more disappointed. I really thought this kid was going to
be something special. All I can say is, it must be Kryptonite! Damn…I knew that
stuff would cause problems.
