Antrel Rolle   CB   Miami

Antrel has good size, strength and speed for his position. He has great leadership qualities and he has the athleticism to be a shut-down corner in the NFL. Antrel is a team player and this year, has been like a coach on the field. He understands how the defensive backs working as one unit together can be the reason for a defense to be successful. Antrel uses good technique when tackling and in defending against the pass.

Needs to Improve

I am told there was an off-field situation that might be a concern, but I believe it has been straightened out.

Talent Board Round  1

Antrel is a shut-down corner with the brains to play in any defense you choose for him. He is one of the only CBís in this draft that can start for an NFL team right now. Antrel is mentally tough and a very good tackler. He does an excellent job in supporting the run. He is very close to being one of the most complete players at his position that I have ever seen coming out in the draft. Antrel could very well be the best player in this draft. That does not mean that he will be picked 1st, but if he were, I would not blink an eye. He has that kind of talent. At this point, we donít know what juniors will come out, so itís too soon to guess; however, teams are starting to realize that shut-down CBís and OLTís are way too important for a team not to pick them in the top five of a draft.
