Carlyle Holiday   WR   Notre Dame

Carlyle is a big, strong kid with good speed who is just learning the WR position. He has very good hands and shows excellent run after the catch abilities. He is smart and is a good teammate and because he played the QB position before he was switched to the WR position, he has leadership qualities. Carlyle shows no fear in going over the middle and understands the amount of work that is ahead of him to become an NFL caliber WR.

Needs to Improve

As I said, he is just learning the position. He has to learn to run routes better and how to change speeds. He has to learn to use his body to shield the CBs. I have no doubt that he will learn very fast and be on the field producing much more quickly than a lot of scouts think.

Talent Board Round  7

Carlyle is a sleeper. He has very strong hands and is smart. Along with his talent, he has an excellent work ethic and is a team player. I have noticed that during this season, he is starting to get quicker in and out of his breaks and this shows me that it is just a matter of time before this kid shows his stuff. I believe that Carlyle will be a core player for the team that drafts him and a fan favorite. Carlyle will not be picked on the 1st day of this draft, but he will be a starter very quickly for the team that drafts him.  Do not give me any credit for knowing that Carlyle will be an important player for the team that drafts him. The credit belongs to Carlyle and to his coach Troy Willingham. His coach is the person who convinced Carlyle to change positions and Carlyle is the one who had the guts and the brains to listen to him.
