Craphonso Thorpe   WR   Florida St

Craphonso has excellent athletic ability, size, strength, speed and quickness. He is aggressive and tough, runs good routes and has excellent hands that cradle the ball. He knows how to run routes and is very smart in his play. He loves to block. Craphonso has the potential to be an excellent #1 WR in the NFL.

Needs to Improve

He is coming off a broken leg and although he is getting better every game, it put him behind in his development in the area that he has shown his biggest weakness in the past. Craphonso lacks concentration when he catches the ball and this leads to drops at crucial times in a game.

Talent Board Round  2

I believe that a lot of Craphonsoís drops are a combination of problems. I think the QB situation on his team has not helped him at all. The broken leg was also a setback and Craphonso has a bad habit of not setting his feet on the crucial catches when he knows he is going to take a hit. Iím not saying that he isnít tough. I am saying that he is expecting the hit before he is actually hit and this hurts his concentration on the ball. He has a very lean body. Not enough muscle on his frame to cushion a hit. I donít believe that his body will change that much so he will have to learn to protect himself and catch the ball, very much like Harrison with the Colts and Moss with the Vikings do. When he learns these techniques, he will become a very dangerous WR and we will start see him earn pro bowls. Craphonso (The Fonz) Thorpe with his speed & size, will help a team right away and should be a #1 WR for the team that drafts him.
