Dan Cody   DE   Oklahoma

Dan has excellent size, strength and speed for his position. He has a very quick burst to the ball in the passing game and is strong enough at the point of attack in the running game. Dan has not even touched his potential as a player and when he does, he is going to be something special to watch.

Needs to Improve

Teams need to find out if fainting and needing to be re-hydrated in the middle of a game is because he parties too hard or he has a medical problem!

Talent Board Round  1

Right now, Dan is just scratching the surface of his talent. He does not have very many moves and his technique is to out-quick an O-lineman when he rushes the QB. In the running game, he guesses too much and runs himself out of a lot of plays. In spite of all these questions, Dan has tremendous upside to his game. His lack of football instincts could very well be tied into the fact that he actually goes to classes and wants to receive good grades. Go figure! IF Dan has a medical problem, Iím sure it is not one that will stop him from being an outstanding player in the NFL. If you pick Dan in the draft be prepared to go through some growing pains on the football field for a year or two. Then be prepared for him to become a Pro Bowl player, a core player and a fan favorite. Dan (Quick Draw) Cody because has such a quick first step when he rushes the passer.
