Dustin has good size, quickness and strength for his position. He can play a few different positions. He can play CB in certain situations along with either safety positions. Dustin shows more quickness than speed and uses very good techniques when defending against the pass. He is a good tackler and shows leadership qualities. He will be an asset to the team that drafts him.
Needs to Improve
Dustin needs to get a bit stronger to stand up a little better when defending against the run. I have no doubt that he will do this.
Talent Board Round 4
Dustinís best position in the pros will be the Free Safety position as a starter. In your nickel/dime coverage, he could play anywhere. He is a smart player and I think his leadership skills would be best used at the free safety position. He has good hands and is always in the right place at the right time. Dustin will be a fan favorite and a core player for the team that drafts him, but he will always be under-appreciated. Heís not flashy, just good. Dustin will give headaches to QBís and offensive coordinators because he is smart, has deceptive speed and is quick. When you look at him on film, you think you can handle him easily, but then when the game starts, you realize your mistake. He is a lot like a foxÖa pain in the butt that no matter how much you try, you just canít get a handle on him.
