Vince Carter   OC   Oklahoma

Vince is an excellent center. He is smart and uses very good techniques. He has the best lateral agility of the centers in this draft. He shows good balance and is quick out of his stance and into his set up. Vince is an excellent leader and does an excellent job calling the line calls. Oklahoma doesn’t pull their center very much, but I just sense that it would not be a problem for Vince. He shows excellent mental toughness and will be a core player for the team that drafts him.

Needs to Improve

Vince needs to get stronger and refine his techniques, but to be honest, he is the most complete center in this draft.

Talent Board Round  5

Vince may not get much bigger than he is right now, but he will get stronger. He will have to learn better techniques to handle a bull rush, but I believe he will do that. What you see is what you get with Vince -- he is a very complete player with all the skills and techniques to impact at the next level at his position. Vince should be a solid core player and a fan favorite for the team that drafts him. This is an easy profile to do and I’m not going to pretend it isn’t by trying to magnify his negatives over his positives. He is a good, solid player…just what you want for the center position.
