Ryan Harris   OT   Notre Dame

STRENGTHS

Ryan has good size and has been an LT in a big college program for the past two years.  He has played in some big games and has done a solid job blocking for his team.  He is a good college tackle and has done a solid job blocking in both the running game and pass blocking.  Ryan has been one of the leaders of his team.

NEEDS TO IMPROVE

Iím not sure how much Ryan really wants to play at the next level.  He has not improved at all from year to year and is not a stand-out tackle for the next level.  He did not get stronger and showed decent quickness, but not enough to warrant a look at him as a tackle.  He might be a halfway decent guard in a zone-blocking scheme, but I still have to question his passion to play at the next level.

TALENT BOARD ROUND: 7

Ryan just has never gotten bigger or stronger or improved in any way since the first day that I saw him.  Charlie Weiss might be able to sell or intimidate a few teamsí administrations on this kid, but Iím not falling for this public relations nonsense.  Like I said, Ryan could be a decent guard in a zone-blocking scheme, but I have to question this kidís passion to even want to play at the next level.  If youíre looking in the draft for players who will be happy being back-ups, then I guess Ryan is the player for you.  For me, I just donít see the fire in the belly for this kid to work hard and compete.
