Jeremiah Johnson   RB/ST   Oregon

Jeremiah is a quick, fast player who exhibits the toughness to play multiple positions at the next level.  He looks to be a smart player and shows good hands out of the backfield.  He runs out of a spread offense and is the type of runner that is very dangerous in open space.  Jeremiah will impact on special teams as a kick returner right away and as a third down back.  He could develop into a weapon with the right coaching and in the right system like a zone blocking offensive line scheme.

If Jeremiah wants to be more than just a third down back/specialty teams player he must get bigger, stronger, and learn how to set-up and follows blockers a bit better.  As a third down back, he must learn to block and pick up the blitz much better than he does right now.

Jeremiah has good developmental potential; additionally, zone blocking teams could make this kid an impact player right away.  He has the talent that fits that system perfectly.  I suspect teams with that style of offensive line blocking might rate Jeremiah higher than others.  But for the purposes of this draft, that makes Jeremiah a systems RB and I always feel those type of players, regardless of talent, are second day draft choices.
