STRENGTHS
Jamarco has been the starting Left Tackle for his college team and has done a
solid job. He has good size and has the long arms needed to continue to play
tackle at the next level. He feet are good and his ability to tie his opponent
up at line of scrimmage is solid also. Jamarco seems to have good effort on
every play and has been a solid overall performer for his team. He has the
respect of his teammates and coaches and looks to be a good teammate. Jamarco
has the quickness out of his stance to play more than one position on the
offensive line for the team that selects him.
CONCERNS
Before Jamarco can get on the field at the next level he has to build up his
core strength. Once that happens Jamarco will more than likely be moved to one
of the guard position. He has the talent to be a very good left guard but I’m
convinced that he will struggle to start unless he gets serious about learning
his craft.
BOTTOM LINE
It’s shocking to me that Jamarco isn’t in better football shape coming from this
program and what is more shocking is that Jamarco was allowed to be the Left
tackle for this program with such a lack of football strength. He has the size
and the basics to play at the next level but he has not concentrated on getting
better and has not improved in any aspect since last year. Maybe the kid went to
class and maybe football wasn’t a priority. If that’s the reason then I think
once Jamarco gets serious and into a good strength and conditioning program than
I have no doubt that he can become a starting offensive lineman for some team.
As far as what I see on film and his information that is in front of me, I would
let some other team select him and then see where he is at after his first
contract is up. Offensive Tackles are hard to find so I have no doubt that
Jamarco will be selected at some point in this draft.
