STRENGTHS
Ronald size, strength, and running style reminds me a lot of LeSean McCoy. He shows very good lateral explosion and vision in the open field to leave potential tacklers grabbing at thin air as this kids flies by with a juke and a shake. He has solid strength between the tackles to run the ball and make important yardage. Ronald excels in open space and throwing him the ball and using him on the edges when running puts a lot of stress on a defense because of his vision to cut back and blow through the defense all the way to the end zone. He shows the quick feet and balance that makes it hard to take him down and because of the excellent coaching he is a willing blocker for his quarterback when he needs to be. Ronald is a play maker and on offense you’re looking for play makers to score so suggesting he plays a position that is not highly valued means you’ll be passing on selecting a playmaker early in this draft. Personally, I don’t pass on selecting playmakers on either side of the ball.

CONCERNS
Ronald will have to bulk up to handle the pounding at the next level if a team plans to use him in the back field as their bell cow running back. He has excellent vision in open space but seems to lack that same vision when running between the tackles and is more of a straight line runner. Personal I think lining Ronald up one yard deeper in the back field will allow him to get a better feel and see the blocking in front of him better. I believe Ronald’s interviews to establish his football IQ (to be used in multiple positions) will dictate his draft status. If he shows a high football IQ in reading defenses like a quarterback than Ronald can be used quickly all over the offenses as a weapon. Ronald will also have to improve his blocking and picking up blitzing linebackers.

BOTTOM LINE
Ronald is an offensive play maker but if he is thinking too much before reacting than this will slow him down on the field and make it difficult for him to impact consistently. This is why Reggie Bush never really impacted they way most people thought he would and the reason why LeSean McCoy does impact consistently, high Football IQ. I mean if you look at their size and athletic talent you see the same player and yet on the field you see the production and consistency is quite different. Ronald needs to develop better instincts and vision between the tackles and get a little bit bigger but the key will be his football IQ. He has to be able to marry his instincts and thinking to his quarterbacks and offensive coordinators instincts and thinking and react on the run to any changing situations. If he accomplishes this than he can develop into the player that LeSean McCoy is. The talent is there for all to see but developing the intangibles will be the key.
