Antonio Callaway   WR/ST   Florida

TALENT
ROUND
5

STRENGTHS
Antonio has the first-round talent to be an impact receiver and special team’s player for the team that selects him. He is quick and fast and has the instincts to make plays in the passing game that most in this draft cannot make. Antonio has sure hands and the eye hand coordination to go along with the ability to adjust to the ball in the air and that makes him one of the more acrobatic pass catches in this draft. He has quick feet and his vision and lateral agility make him one of the better run after the catch receivers in this draft.

CONCERNS
Antonio has first round talent attached to a seventh-round head. Until he stops blaming others for his poor off field decisions and multiple arrests, he will become another one of those failed talented football players who are looking through a set of bars to see his less talented former college teammates playing in an NFL Super Bowl. He does have a choice, star in an NFL game or be in the next episode of COPS…in hand cuffs.

BOTTOM LINE
Until Antonio comes to terms with the thought process that what he has done off the field in the past is not normal behavior, all he will accomplish in his life is traveling down the road of personal disaster and leaving his football talent with his high school friends and college coaches. Antonio has the talent to impact the day after you draft him. On the second day he also has the ability to pull some stupid stunt and get arrested. If you have a strong locker room with quality players you can take a chance in the later rounds and maybe draft Antonio but beware, the more money this kid has the more potential he has to get in trouble off the field that is until, he gets smart. It’s a shame because Antonio in a normal situation is a 1st round talent who mostly likely would be selected in the 1st or 2nd round of a draft. He is a solid route runner and his potential to make the big play in the passing game or on special teams is without a doubt there on film, for everyone to see. Only after a face to face interview with him to see how much responsibility he is taking for his actions, could I make a decision on what round to take a chance on selecting him in, if at all. One thing I know is this, if I was an owner I don’t think I would want the possible head ache even if I could get all my money back when he screws up. But that’s just me…Talking To Myself™
